This can be one scenario where you are entering the wrong password, thinking it to be right. So before blaming anyone, make sure you are not doing anything wrong. The next step is to verify that the login credentials you are entering to login to your Gmail account must be correct. If you see a green button it means there are no known issues, an orange button means a service disruption and a red button indicates a service outage. To check if Gmail is down, check the server through the G Suite Dashboard page. If Gmail is not working, it is possible that there is a problem with the servers. If yes, the issue can be from Gmail’s side as well. Try to do other activities on the internet if you are able to do that or not. If the signal strength is proper, and still you are not able to log in, you can try switching to a different network. The first time you do this for any given account, you'll need to add it and sign in as usual afterward, it should show up in a list you can pick for quick changes. Before anything, you need to make sure that the network your device is connected to is receiving adequate signal strength.

At the top right, you should see your account name, as usual.
